Recovery Service Terms

These Recovery Service Terms apply to recovery, breakdown assistance, accident recovery, van recovery and vehicle transport services arranged through VV247 Recovery & Breakdown.

Before recovery

Customers must provide accurate collection and destination information, vehicle make and model, condition, access details and any known hazards. Customers should remove personal belongings where practicable.

Vehicle condition and access

We will use reasonable care, but recovery can involve unusual access, damaged vehicles, locked wheels, steering faults, low ground clearance, immobilised vehicles and other risks. The customer must disclose known damage or conditions that may affect loading or transport.

Recovery equipment

The recovery method used is determined by the vehicle, condition, location, road conditions, access and available equipment. We may decline or change a recovery method where it would be unsafe or unsuitable.

Accident recovery

Following an accident, customers must follow instructions from police, emergency services and other relevant authorities. Recovery does not include investigation of liability for an accident.

Waiting and additional work

Additional charges may apply where the job involves waiting, restricted access, additional loading or unloading work, significant debris, unexpected vehicle condition, additional mileage or other work outside the agreed service.

Customer property

Customers remain responsible for personal belongings left in a vehicle unless otherwise agreed. Valuable or essential items should be removed before recovery where safe to do so.

Safety

VV247 may stop or refuse a job if the location, vehicle, load or requested method presents an unreasonable safety risk or would require unlawful action.

Service limitations

Estimated arrival times are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed otherwise. Delays can occur because of traffic, weather, road closures, police or emergency incidents and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Acceptance

By requesting and accepting a recovery service, the customer agrees to these terms together with any specific price or service terms confirmed for the individual job.
